Rear Admiral Noble Doug is a 1985 graduate of Crystal Lake South High School. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1989, where he was commissioned as a Navy Supply Corps Officer. He has served on 2 submarines and 2 aircraft carriers: •USS Ulysses S. Grant (SSBN 631 BLUE), • USS Charlotte (SSN 766), • and USS Independence (CV 62), • USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). He has also deployed to Afghanistan as the commander of the Defense Logistics Agency Support Team / Afghanistan, where he was responsible for all DLA personnel and operations across Afghanistan supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Ashore, he has had a variety of assignments ranging from multiple tours in the Pentagon on the Joint Staff and the Navy Staff, all the way to overseas at the Fleet Supply Center in Yokosuka, Japan. Currently, Rear Admiral Noble is serving as the director of Logistics Operations (J3) and commander of Joint Regional Combat Support for the Defense Logistics Agency, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. DLA Logistics Operations is responsible for end-to-end supply chain management of DLA’s eight supply chains. DLA Logistics Operations oversees the daily operation of DLA’s field activities, supporting 2,300 weapon systems and engaging customers around the world to maximize readiness and logistics combat power.
Noble has been married to his wife Melissa for over 32 years. They have six children (2 of which are here tonight) and recently welcomed their third grandchild.
